### Part 10: What If Canadian-Built Housing Was Exported Worldwide?
The beauty of the [Build Canada Strong](https://liberal.ca/housing-plan/) plan is manifold. It does so much more than solve Canada's housing crisis; it can also transform our economy and the world. Canadians need jobs, and the [Build Canada Strong](https://liberal.ca/housing-plan/) initiative creates them. It's not just because it means people will have a stable base from which they can pursue education, build their career, or start their own business.
We have to remember: Canada is so rich. We have among the best raw resources in the entire world. We have lumber, metal, oil, water, and just about anything else you can think of. Here's the thing: products are worth more when they are refined. I'm not talking about things being fancy; I'm talking about actual processing.
Raw ore taken from the earth isn't worth as much as processed ingots. For most of Canada's history, we've been the little brother. However, we're now in a position where we can make our own future and walk our own path. Our decisions don't have to be dictated by what older countries want us to do. We don't have to worry anymore about being the nail that sticks out or a tall poppy.
Instead of shrinking ourselves and undervaluing our dollar to make others comfortable, we can stride ahead and stand strong. One way of doing this is by creating finished products in our country from our resources—efficiently, effectively, and, most importantly, profitably.

## The Future is Bright
The workflows and infrastructure that Canada as a whole could gain from the [Build Canada Strong](https://liberal.ca/housing-plan/) initiative might turn into exponential growth. Once we've finished building the homes needed for our citizens, we could potentially look at building homes for the rest of the world. This would ensure that Canadians countrywide would have jobs at every level of modular, prefabricated construction.
In addition, through the Build Canada Homes initiative, we can actually revitalize dying trades. We could bring back masonry and capitalize on one of our country's most ubiquitous products—stone—in order to provide quality homes that will last centuries. We could also, through doing this, develop new technologies and machinery, as well as software that could be exported worldwide.
Canada's building out its trade routes as well as important export capabilities like never before. We'll soon have some of the best [deep-water ports](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/grays-bay-port-arctic-road-1.7249708) in the world from which we can ship our goods internationally.

## New Horizons
In many ways, Canada could become to the construction industry what our neighbor to the South is to the military-industrial and national security complex.
We don't have to agree on whether or not global warming exists, but we all know that the weather has been getting weird. Communities all over the world are going to potentially have to relocate. When this happens, they'll need housing, and we could potentially be the country that builds it for them.
This is the end of the [Build Canada Strong](https://liberal.ca/housing-plan/) series. I hope that you've enjoyed it. It's been a pleasure for me to research and write.
